Hailstorm lashes Raha

Batadrava, May 5:  A severe hailstorm lashed greater Raha and its adjacent areas of gaon district on Friday morning causing widespread damage by uprooting trees, spping power lines at many places. Many houses were also damaged in Amsoi, Gaspara, Balikuchi, Beltola, Salmara and kuchi by the hailstorm. Hailstones as big as tennis balls were reported, denting vehicle roofs and making people run helter-skelter. Lasting for about an-hour, the hailstorm also caused damage to cropfields of the areas. Fortutely, no loss of life has been reported so far.
