Harmful effects of tobacco use discussed

Dibrugarh, June 6: The students and teachers of Graham Bazaar Girls’ High School on Monday participated in a number of activities to follow the directives of the Government of Assam on implementation of the Tobacco Control Act, 2003, and the importance of Anti-Tobacco Day, which was recently observed on May 31.

The students of the school were apprised about the ill-effects of using tobacco products and were asked to keep their school premises tobacco free. Moreover, the students and teachers of the school, for creating awareness among the shop owners having their shops situated within an area of 1km from the school campus , called upon the shop owners to lend a hand in creating a tobacco-free environment in and around the school campus.
