Headmistress suspended for anomalies in schemes

GAON, January 19: The local people of Ghanhi area in gaon staged a protest on Tuesday morning against various irregularities and misappropriation of mid-day meal fund allegedly by the Headmistress of 29 no Ghanhi Borjaha Primary School. The irate mob also  locked the main entry door of the school and stopped the teaching staff from entering the school campus.

According to sources, the Headmistress Niva Saikia had allegedly neglected the school’s magement committee over the years and also misappropriated the mid-day meal fund. Moreover, her attendance in the school was poor for which the local people on Tuesday lost their patience and staged a stir.

On the other hand, soon after that incident, the Deputy Inspector of Schools of gaon, Budha Kotoki inquired about the whole incident and filly passed the suspension order against Headmistress Niva Saikia with immediate effect.
