Dibrugarh: “I have been to other jails, but Dibrugarh Central Jail (DCJ) makes an exception. Contrary to the popular notion of a jail being full of negative vibes, DCJ is quite the reverse,” said the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Piyush Hazarika while inaugurating a health camp organized at DCJ by Dibrugarh Rotary Club in association with Assam Medical College (AMC) and Rajputana Rifles on Sunday.

Lauding the efforts of the jail officials for keeping the jail environs so pristine and gratifying, Hazarika at the same time took note of the facilities extended to the jail inmates including the Yoga Centre.

Shedding light on the health camp, president of the Rotary Club, Dr. Momi Neog said, “With the motto of ‘Service above Self’, this health camp is the first in a series of activities which will be undertaken by the club for the well being of the prison inmates.”
