Continuing its hearing of the case, a division bench of the High Court has directed the Head of Cardiology Department to file an affidavit, in a chronological manner, stating as to how the patient was taken care of from May 5 when she was admitted in the Cardiology Department right up to her death with supporting proofs.

The Court also said that another affidavit shall be filed by the Head of Department Cardiology, wherein it shall be item-wise indicated as to whether the decisions as were taken at the high-level meeting headed by the Additional Chief Secretary were followed in letter and spirit.

Moreover, the High Court also made Amrit Pharmacy, a respondent and asked Rupa Chakraborty to file an affidavit and to state as to whether she has followed the decisions taken at the meeting held on May 9.

According to Dr. Animesh Mishra, Head of Cardiology Department, at present 19 patients are waiting for surgery.
