High School Leaving Certificate exam begins today

Sarupathar: Altogether 2,594 candidates appeared in this year’s High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) in Dhansiri Subdivision under Golaghat district on Thursday.

Among them 1,181 are male and 1,413 are female candidates. It is mentioned that there are total six centres under Dhansiri Subdivision and those are identified as Sarupathar high school, Naojan high school, Chungajan high school, Angsha Jildoi Shyam High School, Barpathar high school and Gelabil high school.

Overall, in Sarupathar high school total candidates appeared HSLC 510 among them 244 are male and 266 are female, in Naojan high school total candidates 324 among them 137 are male and 186 are female, in Chungajan high school total candidates 254 among them 132 are male and 122 are female, in Angsha Jildoi Shyam high school total candidates 772 among them 347 are male and 525 are female, in Barpathar high school total candidates 404 among them 167 are male and 237 are female and in Gelabil high school total candidates 331 among them 154 are male and 177 are female.

Meanwhile, according to the report, CCTV monitoring of the halls and the centres is mandatory. Flying squads would be touring the centres.

All forms of electronic gadgets including mobile phones and calculators have been banned for the candidates during the examination time.

Altogether three officers have been given the charges for all Dhansiri Subdivision for supervising the respective examinations, they are Pranjit Kumar Deb, border Magistrate charges taken for Uriamghat area, Satish Prashad, additional Circle officer charges taken for Naojan and Chungajan area and Sonashree Brahma, election officer charges taken for Sarupathar and Barpathar area of Dhansiri Subdivision.
