Himanta appointed as Interim President of BAI

GUWAHATI, April 23: President of the Assam Badminton Association Himanta Biswa Sarma today appointed as the Interim President of the Badminton Association of India (BAI).The decision was taken in the executive council meeting of BAI which was held today in Lucknow.

The post of the president in BAI was left vacant after sudden demise of former President Akhilesh Dasgupta. Sarma will be in president’s chair till the next election which is scheduled in 2018.
