KOKRAJHAR, Sept 4: Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project observed the Hindi Pakhwara in a grand and befitting manner on Saturday. The programme was iugurated by Executive Director Utpal Chakrabarti. The iugural day saw a recitation competition among children and singing competition for the ladies.
A variety of programmes and competitions have been lined up for the entire fortnight like essay competition, Antakshri competition, slogan competition, drawing competition, and handwriting competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Executive Director Utpal Chakrabarti said that Hindi was the official language and efforts should be made to promote it and use it in day-to-day life.
