Hindu Jagaran Manch observes Lachit Divas

GOLAGHAT, Nov  24:  The Hindu Jagaram Manch Asom of Golaghat district committee organized Lachit Divas with a day-long programme on Tuesday at Golaghat Bengekhowa.

In a press release, general secretary Jayanta Kumar Goswami  said that on the eve of Bir Lachit Divas, a cultural procession was taken out from Bengekhowa throughout the town, which was iugurated by senior jourlist Dwipen Dutta.

Matri Banda was sung and the programme was started by Subhas Joshi. Jourlist Diganta Kumar Bhuyan paid floral tribute before the statue of Bir Lachit.

Later, an open meeting  was held under president ship of Joyanta Kumar Goswami and North Assam Sah-Karjyabah Nirupam Baruah  took part as chief guest in the meeting. Baruah said, “Follow the path of Bir Lachit Barphukan. We have to unite to defeat the dark forces in Asam.”
