HKV, NEIMT boys, Anchalik Jatiya girls lift RFYS titles

GUWAHATI, Dec 8:  Hindustan Kendriya Vidyalaya and Anchalik Jatiya Vidyalaya proved their excellence in the Guwahati-leg of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tourment by clinching the senior boys and school girls’ titles respectively here on Friday.

In the fils played at the Assam Engineering College ground, Hindustan Kendriya Vidyalaya upstaged NPS Intertiol School 3-1 while the Anchalik Jatiya girls drubbed Bethany School, Garchuk 3-0.

In the school girls fil, the Anchalik Jatiya girls never let the grip on the game loosen once their star striker Pakhila Boro bulged the net in the fourth minute. Jwmwi Daimary swelled the tally in the 29th minute to give them a 2-0 lead at half-time. Mijingshri Boro hit the fil il with a 57th minute strike to end whatever little hopes Bethany might have harboured.

Anchalik defender Bhabani Kumar who stood like a rock to thwart the Bethany attacks was adjudged player of the match.
