Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev taunts AIUDF Supremo Badruddin Ajmal for objectionable comments on TV Journo

Hojai: Pointing out AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal's behaviour against TV journalist on Wednesday in South Salmara, Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev today at Lanka expressed that such kind of approach is natural from a political party like AIUDF.

Speaking to the media at the sideline of a BJP meeting at Lanka's Lankeshewari Mandir on Thursday, MLA Shiladitya Dev said, "I believe that Ajmal Sahab will be the next Chief Minister of Assam in 2026, such kind of approach doesn't seem to be good, however, what more we can expect from AIUDF who does politics in the name of Bangladeshis? this is bad luck for the people of Assam."

He also claimed that recently Badruddin Ajmal had slapped a person in public meeting. "This is their culture, nothing new in it," added Shiladitya.

Also, talking about recent Panchayat Elections, Shiladitya Dev said that AIUDF didn't lose the elections, rather a reward to show Sonia Gandhi and Ex-CM Tarun Gogoi that they can go ahead with the alliance with AIUDF party so that his seat from Dhubri remains safe, thus, he will be the next CM in the year 2026. "Everything is making and Ajmal Sahab is playing a drama out here," Shiladitya adds further.

On being asked about MP Sushmita Dev's recent comment on NRC where she stated that she would break the Assembly, Shiladitya Dev taunts, "She spoke the truth, actually she spoke directly from her heart, Congress MLAs from Barak Valley will win the future elections, only if the names of the Bangladeshis Muslims gets included in the draft NRC. They believe in vote bank politics, not in the democratic system."
