Home guards stage protest

GUWAHATI, Jan 30: The Assam Home Guard Welfare Association (AHGWA) today staged a protest at Dispur Last Gate here demanding action against Home Guard Commander Suman Das and Platoon Commander Ajoy Borgoyari for their alleged involvement in anomalies and for their ‘dictatorial behavior’.

 The Assam Home Guard Welfare Association (AHGWA) secretary rayan Das and president Dwipen Sarma alleged that both Das and Borgoyari don’t send the home guard jawans from Boko, Chaygaon, Palashbari, Hajo, Rangia, Kamalpur , Jalukbari, Dispur, West Guwhati and East Guwahati for training if bribe is not paid to them.

“Both the officers unnecessarily delays in sending the jawans for training,” they alleged.

 They also alleged that the two officers often misbehave with the jawans who go to their office.
