Homeopathic doctors to launch protest

GUWAHATI, Feb 5:  The All Assam Homeopathic Medical College Students’ Union in collaboration with All Assam Homeopathic Junior Doctors’ Union and Homeopathic Medical Association of India (HOMAI), Assam unit will stage a dhar at Dispur Late Gate here tomorrow against the ‘indifferent attitude’ of the Assam government to the homeopathic treatment.  Addressing a press conference here today, The All Assam Homeopathic Medical College Students’ Union president Mostafa Ali said that the government has not maintained regularity in the appointment of homeopathic doctors during the last few years in the State. All Assam Homeopathic Junior Doctors’ Union general secretary Mahbubul Bari said that due to lack of post graduate course in the homeopathic colleges of the State, students have to go outside the State. ‘Due to this, many students have faced problems," he said. The leaders of the three organizations said that they would launch massive protest against the government from Monday demanding improvement of the condition of the hoeopathic treatment system in the State.
