HSLC exam question paper ‘leaked’ in Nagaon

NAGAON: A report on alleged leakage of question paper of General English of the High School Leaving Certificate examination (HSLC) under SEBA through WhatsApp from the Jajari examination centre in Nagaon on Thursday, just 35 minutes after the examination had begun, created panic and chaos among the guardians and the students of the district who had appeared in the examination. The report has drawn sharp reaction from all sections of the people of the district.

The higher authority of the district education department as well as police officials rushed to the spot and immediately examined the entire episode. But they were yet to ascertain the details of the case till the filing of this report.

Talking to this correspondent, Superintendent of Police of Nagaon, Sankarbrata Raimedhi said that he had information that the question paper had been leaked from the Jajari examination centre and during police investigation, a WhatsApp message was traced but how and from where it went viral had not yet been ascertained. “No case has been registered till the evening and police are still investigating the entire episode,” he said further. On the other hand, Inspector of Schools, Nagaon, Praveen Sarma also told this correspondent that he had rushed to the examination centre after the news spread through some TV channels. “But I don’t have the details in this regard,” he said.
