I Am Not Scared of FIR Lodged Against Me: Amit Shah

Guwahati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah today accused the Trinamool Congress of orchestrating violence during his roadshow in Kolkata on Tuesday by presenting photographs to prove his point as the TMC, BJP sparring intensified in the slog overs of the Lok Sabha elections.

BJP Chief Amit Shah said that they will not be intimidated by violence. “Anger of Bengalis will translate into a defeat for Mamata didi who is stifling democracy in the state,” said Shah.

He said that he came to know that the Bengal government has filed an FIR against him. He said, “Let me tell them that I am not scared of FIRs. So many of my workers have been killed in violent attack,” added Shah.

Shah further said that the college gates were closed, room was locked. Who opened the lock, the BJP workers didn’t enter the college, he said while showing the photographs to prove that Trinamool Congress workers broke the statue of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

The BJP chief, while recounting the violence during his roadshow said that he was lucky to escape adding that had the CRPF not been there, it would have been difficult for him to escape. He also said that signs of TMC unease were visible before the roadshow. He said, “Modi’s posters, my posters were torn in the morning yet BJP workers were calm adding that the support of the people was overwhelming during the roadshow. There were so many people and it was a peaceful rally but suddenly the violence started due to some miscreants of TMC.

Shah claimed that the state government should order an independent probe into the incident through a neutral agency.

Shah blames Trinamool Congress for the poll violence and claims that they are fighting in every state in the nation unlike Mamata on 42 seats in West Bengal and that violence didn’t take place in the six phases of elections anywhere except Bengal which proves that TMC is responsible for it.
