If Modi Comes To Power, It Will Be A Disaster For The Nation: Mukul Sangma

Boko: Former Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma addressed an election rally in support of Guwahati constituency Congress candidate Bobeeta Sarma at Gohalkona village (along the Assam Meghalaya border area) under Boko Legislative Assembly constituency in lower Assam’s Kamrup district on Saturday.

During his speech, Mukul Sangma blasted Modi for “bringing misery” to the people of the State and said that if Modi comes to power next time it will be a disaster for the nation. “In the last 5 years, there has been a increase of 177 per cent in terrorist attacks and 1,315 people have died due to the terrorist attacks which was reported by Minister of the State for Home in the Rajya Sabha”, Mukul Sangma said.

“Modi even failed to solve the problems of Jammu & Kashmir. Even after strong opposition against CAB in the Northeast, the Modi government is still trying to implement the bill. If the bill is introduced, the Northeast will be the next Jammu & Kashmir. The BJP never respects the emotions of the people of the Northeast, so everyone should reply strongly against the BJP government’s policies and cast their votes in favour of the Congress,” the leader said.

The meeting was presided over by Arabinda Rabha, president of the Boko block Congress and Ram Deka, secretary of the Boko block Congress. Marathon Sangma, Mendipathar Constituency MLA (Meghalaya) and Cherak Momin, Ex-MLA of Kharkhuta constituency (Meghalaya) also took part in the rally.

On the other hand, Minister of State Urban Development, Health & Family Welfare Pijush Hazarika also took part in an election rally at Gamerimura Village under Boko constituency in support of Guwahati BJP candidate Queen Oja.
