Iftikhar, Parikshit beaten in first round

GUWAHATI, Feb 21: Sheikh Mohammed Iftikhar and Parikshit Somani of Assam suffered loss in the first round in the Jorhat Men’s Future Tennis in Jorhat. Sheikh Mohammed Iftikhar lost to 2nd seed Vishnu Vardhan in a well contested game by 4-6, 3-6 today.  Parikshit also fought well but failed to save the game against Dalwinder Singh yesterday. He lost the tie 2-6, 6-4, 2-6. Meanwhile a heavy rain, since last evening, has adversely affected the progress of the event as organizer forced to reschedule many games. .
