Imran Khan criticised after disrespectful attitude towards Saudi king in a face to face encounter

Guwahati: Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan, for his irresponsible attitude, has lately been facing quite some criticisms after he showed an unfriendly behaviour towards the Saudi Arabia king. The social media has particularly been trolling the Pakistan chief for his disrespecting attitude.

It all happened then when the two leaders of the neighbouring nations accidentally meet each other at the Arab nation’s OIC summit in Mecca. Video footage of the two leaders meeting each other has gone viral in which Khan is seen to be lacking the least of the courtesy to even stand for a minute and exchange some words with the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The clip shows Imran Khan walking down an elaborate red carpet, greeting the Saudi king with a handshake and then directly talking to the king’s translator. He did not have the courtesy to speak to the monarch and rather opted for a word with the translator.

In fact, not only this, after speaking to the translator, Khan walked away from the spot without even giving the king an opportunity to listen to the translator and respond back to Khan. Such an irresponsible and restless behaviour coming from the chief of a nation is totally unexpected and uncalled for and this has thus, created quite a furor on social media with people from across the globe making their reactions.

As reacted by the social media users on Twitter, the Pakistan Prime Minister is being termed as very irresponsible and the encounter of the two chiefs is addressed as “disrespectful” and “insulting” encounter. Some has even advised Pakistan to prioritize diplomacy skills while choosing their leader the next time as Imran Khan lacks the diplomacy skills immensely.

This has also been claimed in some of the tweets that the bilateral meetings scheduled between the two leaders were canceled later following the untoward incident that happened. The Monarch said to be at a displeased state of mind due to the odd greeting received from Khan. Khan might have later realized what wrong he has done as he was later seen meeting the king and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud before delivering an address at the summit.
