India Knows When, How and Where to React on Pulwama Attack: Doval

Guwahati: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval said that India will not forget the killing of 40 Central Paramilitary Forces (CRPF) jawans in Pulwama last month by the Pakistan based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad and it is the leadership which decides 'when, where and how' to respond it.

Speaking on the occasion of 80th CRPF anniversary parade in Gurugram on Tuesday, Doval said that they have not forgotten 40 jawans who lost their lives in Pulwama, the country will never forget this.

Doval further said that, "What we have to do, which path we have to follow, what action has to be taken and at what time will be decided by the country as our nation's leadership is capable and strong enough to take this decision and face every kind of challenge."

He further added that the country is that much capable that it can do whatever is needed to be done whether it is against the terrorists or those who are helping them. He added, "We will fight against them and we have the courage and intention to fight against any crises."

The NSA also paid tributes to the CRPF jawans who have been martyred in the Pulwama attack on February 14.

Doval, while emphasizing on the CRPF's contribution said that whenever they hold meetings and discuss which force to send, how many battalions should be sent and where, they say send the CRPF, it is a credible force, they can completely trust them. It takes years to achieve such credibility.

Doval also appreciated the hard work of CRPF and said that the CRPF was started with just two battalions and not it has been extended up to 242 battalions. He also said that this is the only security force which has reached every part of the country for elections, law and order etc. and said that the CRPF is an incredible force of the nation.

It has been alleged by the Congress that Doval is believed to be the confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was instrumental in releasing JeM Chief Masood Azhar which carried out the Pulwama attack as part of the negotiations in the 1999 Kandahar hijacking incident.
