Indian Army conducts pre-recruitment drive in Assam's Indo Bhutan border

GUWAHATI: Towards the continued task of motivating the local populace and under its youth outreach campaign, an Indian Army Unit of Red Horns Division organized a pre-recruitment drive for Joining Indian Army at the far-flung village of Indo Bhutan border area of Assam on Monday.

More than 125 young boys participated. This was conducted as part of the ongoing initiative which has been taken up by the unit for the last few months to train selected boys of the ibid mentioned district. The drive was conducted in a single phase, wherein, they were tested for physical fitness on the same day. Written aptitude including documentation check & medical inspection by the unit medical officer, were carried out.

The boys were also introduced to the RAVI (Recruitment Awareness Vehicle of Indian Army), an unique mobile based recruitment guidance platform initiated by the unit itself. The ongoing drive has been motivating the local youth to join the Olive-Green Wagon, thus, garnering goodwill for the forces and nation as a whole, stated a press release.
