Injured wild goat rescued from Dolong River near Jatinga by Dima Hasao Forest officials

Haflong: Dima Hasao Forest officials rescued an injured female wild goat from Dolong River near Jatinga on Sunday. Some villagers first saw the injured animal lying on the bank of the river and informed the forest officials of Jatinga who later rescued the animal and brought it to the veterinary dispensary at Sarkari Bagan. The animal was injured on her right leg, perhaps trying to escape from a trap a few days back and was unable to run. Thus, the villagers found her there. First aid was provided by two veterinarians. The goat is likely to survive.
