Inquiry ordered into killing of youth

Kokrajhar, May 12: Chirang District Magistrate Ratul Barua has detailed Additional District Magistrate Sanjeev Kr. Sharma for conducting magisterial enquiry into the encounter incident that took place in between Chirang Police and militants on December 4, 2017 in the forest area of Balambari Bagan under Runikhata Police Station in Chirang district, where one person, namely Rajib Basumatary of village No. 4 Samodwisa, was killed. In the order, he has been asked to conduct the enquiry as per the latest NHRC guidelines and submit report within 30 days.
