Inspector of Schools accused of stealing office materials

AGARTALA: An Inspector of Schools, Pinkal Debbarma, has been absconding for the last several days after being accused of attempting to steal books and other office materials of his own office while one of his accomplices, the e-coordinator of his office Nihar Kanti Das has been arrested by Kanchanpur Police. Nihar Kanti has been sent to jail custody by a local court.

The theft case first came to light when local people noticed that some old almirah, books and other office materials of the office of the Inspector of Schools, Kanchanpur were being loaded in a truck.

On suspicion, local people informed the police who rushed to the spot. Police detained the truck as no convincing reply was there from the people there about the destination of the goods.

Pinkal Debbarma, Inspector of Schools immediately filed a complaint with the police about shifting of office materials secretly without his permission and on the basis of the complain police arrested the e-coordinator Nihar Kanti Das.

On primary interrogation, it was revealed that the complainant, Inspector of Schools Pinkal Debbarma, himself was the mastermind of the entire plot of smuggling office goods.

He has, however, fled from the area.
