Boiling of water can also prevent widespread of this deadly disease. Precautions should also be taken while cooking food. Since it is a rainy season, the chances of an outbreak of water-borne diseases are also high.

First-aid measures, ORS, Zinc tablets etc should be provided in case the disease outbreak. Diarrhoea causes continuous lose of nutrients. ORS helps to replenish these nutrients. ORS and Zinc tablets also help to control dehydration. This is a noble initiative taken by the National Health Mission. Women in general and home-makers and mothers, in particular, have a huge role to play in creating mass awareness regarding Diarrhoea.
