IOA nominates Richo as chef de mission

Itanagar, May 31: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has nominated Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) president Padi Richo as the Chef de Mission for the third Youth Olympic Games to be held at Buenos Aires, Argentina, from October 6 to 18 next. “The Chef de Mission creates and delivers a high performance environment at the Games that will inspire athletes and enable them to excel,” IOA President Narinder Druv Batra said, conferring the responsibility on Richo. “I am sure, your constant association with the sports and selfless services will be beneficial to the Indian contingent participating in Youth Olympic Games,” he said. Richo is the first from the Northeast to be nominated as Chief De Mission of the IOA.
