IRCTC Declares Attractive National And International Tourism Packages

GUWAHATI: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Area office Guwahati organized at the press meet at Food Plaza (1st Floor), Near Guwahati Railway station. Addressed by Debasis Chandra, Group General Manager, IRCTC Ltd, East Zone, he announced that various new initiatives will be taken up by IRCTC Guwahati, in the field of tourism and catering.

IRCTC is a pioneer player in the tourism industry, in both the domestic and international market. As such, Debasis Chandra updated about the new products launched from Guwahati office of IRCTC for benefiting the people of this region.

IRCTC Guwahati has already organized and conducted various Bharat Darshan trains from Guwahati in the recent past. Seeing positive response of the product from the people of this region, Chandra has taken up the initiative to run few more Bharat Darshan Trains from the region in the current financial year.

The next Bharat Darshan train is scheduled to run from Guwahati on February 20, 2019 which would cover the prominent religious and tourist destinations of South India.

“Many people of this region are not able to visit these destinations of South India owing to constraints like confirmed train reservation, stay, etc. So, it is expected that many tourist of this region will join this exclusive tour of Bharat Darshan”, Debasis Chandra added. Similar Bharat Darshan will also be available for the people of this region in the month of March, 2019. This train will cover the famous Lord Krishna Circuit of Mathura, Vrindavan and Agra. “Lots of Lord Krishna devotees cherish to visit these places and to assist the people in an organised manner, this Bharat Darshan package for Mathura – Vrindavan – Agra has been launched by IRCTC”, Debasis Chandra added.

“Going for International Tours is the latest trend of people. In order to cater to the needs of the international travelers, we have also designed and launched various International tour packages from Guwahati”, Debasis Chandra informed. It was also briefed that various weekend packages ex – Guwahati will be on offer for the free individual travelers where tourist destinations of Shillong, Cherrapunjee, Kaziranga, Darjeeling, Manas, etc would be available. IRCTC is also very flexible in customized package, where packages would be made as per the requirement and demand of the guests.
