Itanagar SP T Ammo Assures Businessmen of Security

ITANAGAR: SP capital T Ammo on Friday assured the business community that there is adequate security personnel in place to check any untoward incidents and urged the community to open their shops and establishments. This comes after a day when an audio clip of Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) president and Congress candidate Yumlam Achung surfaced on Whatsapp requesting the business community to close their shops for at least two days after the Lok Sabha results were declared.

Speaking on the audio clip, SP T Ammo said that he had talks with the IMWA president where Achung clarified that the audio clip was for people belonging to a particular Whatsapp group and was meant as a precaution.

The SP informed that the audio was not supposed to be made public but one of the members from the business group made it viral. The IMWA president today has sent an audio message to the business community calling them to open their shops as there is no danger whatsoever.

Meanwhile, BJP Itanagar city president Tarh Soping said that an audio clip was circulating among the people alleging that the BJP workers may attack various shops within the twin capital. In this regard the party has lodged an FIR and also met the capital SP.
