IV Grade Staff of Irrigation Department dies after falling from fourth floor

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a fourth-grade employee of the State Irrigation Department dies after falling from the fourth floor of the building today afternoon in Guwahati's Chandmari area.

The deceased employee was identified as Kanak Rabha (58), a resident of Hatigaon in Guwahati. He was reported to be one of the fourth-grade employees of the electrical section of the Irrigation Department.

As per eyewitnesses, he fell down while trying to open locks in the building.

It is to be noted that there was no proper railing in the building due to which the person slipped and fell down from the building.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased had been sent for post mortem.
