Jammu and Kashmir: CRPF Jawan On Leave Killed By Terrorists At Home In Pulwama

A CRPF Jawan, Naseer Ahmad Rather, who was on leave was shot dead by terrorists at his home in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. As per the reports, an unidentified terrorist barged inside the local CRPF Jawan's house and fired upon him. Rather received serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The area has been isolated off and a pursuit has been launched to nab the assailants, the official said.

The terrorist barged into the house (CRPF Home) of a local CRPF Jawan, Naseer Ahmad Rather, at Naira village in the evening and shot at him and injured him critically, they said. “Naseer was rushed to district hospital Pulwama where he succumbed to injuries. We have registered a case and investigation has been initiated,” a police statement said.

Earlier, on July 21, a police constable, Mohammad Saleem Shah, who was on leave, was abducted and killed, by terrorists from his residence in the Mutalhama area of Kulgam in south Kashmir. Recently, a policeman Javaid Dar was abducted by terrorists from Shopian district and his body was found in Kulgam on July 6.

As per the report, this is the fifth time in three months were policemen or Jawans are being allegedly killed by the terrorists. Before an Army officer's Gunman, Aurangzeb and Umer Fayaz were abducted and later killed on June 10, 2018, and May 10, 2017, respectively. On Tuesday, suspected militants opened fire at security personnel at Batamaloo near Fire and Emergency Services killing a CRPF constable and wounding another.
