Jan Aushadhi Pariyoja Kendra iugurated

Tezpur, April 10: Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jaushadhi Pariyoja (PMBJPK) is a campaign launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special kendras known as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras. Accordingly, Jan Aushadhi Pariyoja Kendra was iugurated at the Kaklata Civil Hospital, Tezpur, by KK Sharma, Additiol Deputy Commissioner (Health) on Tuesday in the presence of Dr Krish Kemprai, Joint Director of Health Services, Sonitpur, Tezpur, Dr Rini Duarah, Superintendent of Tezpur Kakalata Civil Hospital.
 Addressing the gathering, Kishan Kumar Sarmah said, “Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jaushadhi Pariyoja (PMBJPK) has been set up to provide generic drugs, which are available at lesser prices but are equivalent in quality and efficacy as expensive branded drugs. The Jan Aushadhi initiative will make available quality drugs at affordable prices through dedicated stores selling generic medicines which are available at lesser prices but are equivalent in quality and efficacy as expensive branded drugs,” Sarmah added.
