Janji Jamuguri power distribution sub-station iugurated

GAURISAGAR, APRIL 11:  Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) chairman and Amguri MLA Anjan Dutta iugurated a 33/11 KV (2x5x M.V.A) Janji Jamuguri power distribution sub-station under Gaurisagar Electrical Subdivision on Friday. In this connection an iugural function was held. Ranjit Saikia, Chief General Mager (CGM), Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) presided over the meeting. In his iugural speech Dutta emphasized the development works of the present government. He also said that the teachers from lower primary schools to colleges received their salaries and other benefits during the Congress government rule under Chief Ministers Tarun Gogoi and Hiteswar Saikia.

The APCC chairman also said that only because of the Congress government, a section of retired college teachers obtained a huge amount of pension. He appealed to the people of Assam to join hands for the development of State.

The dignitaries who attended the function were Rupam Baruah, Deputy General Mager, Sivasagar Electrical Circle, Ashok Singhi, Director WIN POWER, the construction company of the power sub-station, Angkita Dutta, daughter of Anjan Dutta and vice-president, Assam Pradesh Youth Congress Committee, Jorhat Lok Sabha, Prab Borah, General Mager, APDCL, Jorhat Zone, Pankaj Bharali, ZP Member, Jakaichuk Zila Parishad and social worker Mrinka Saikia. Earlier, Prab Borah explained the objective of the meeting and spoke about the technical aspects of the power distribution of the sub-station.

He said that the station had been constructed through Trade Development Fince (TDF) at the cost of Rs 4 crore. As many as 4,000 consumers will be benefitted from this power sub-station with its four feeders Amguri, Charing, Khatuwal-Majumelia and Tamulisiga-Norakonwer Bailung. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks offered by Ujjal Gohain, Deputy General Mager.
