Jaya ME School to celebrate silver jubilee

MAHMORA, March 13: Jaya ME School located at Sori in Sivasagar district will celebrate its silver jubilee  with two-day programmes from April 3. Talking to this correspondent , a source of the school said that a strong Silver Jubilee celebration committee has been formed with Saraideu Sub Division's Sub divisiol Officer (SDO)  rarayan th as president and Moni Gogoi as working president and Heramba Bhuyan as general secretary.   Celebration committee general secretary  said that literary and cultural competitions will be held in the school premises on April 3.  A semir will also be held as a part of the celebration which will be attended by Sunil Dutta , head of the department of English, Sori College and Lohit Gogoi, professor of Assamese of Sori Commerce College.    Education Minister Sarat Borkotoky will attend as chief guest in the open session of the celebration.   Sonmai Bora, former principal of Sori College will release the  souvenir-Joyajyoti -published on the occasion. A literary session will be held which will be attended by Arun Baruah and Sushil Suri . Children from various schools of the area  will participate in the cultural events.
