Job fair organised by Skill training institute and Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) at Dhubri

DHUBRI: A job fair was organized under the auspices of Brainware, a skill training institute in different trades and an empanelled training partner of Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM), at its hall room here in Dhubri town on Sunday.

Nearly 100 skilled and trained girls in manufacturing different kinds of garments attended the job fair and learnt about various ways out to start manufacturing units and also opening various other units dealing in similar trades.

Speaking in the meeting, an ardent social worker and entrepreneur at the same time, Sanjay Sethia said that there were ample opportunities for skilled and trained girls in the garment manufacturing field.

"You need to motivate yourselves to start the manufacturing units- individually or by forming groups. There is no dearth of work in this garment manufacturing field. Only you need to start it with dedication to work hard," Sethia said and also spoke about the possibilities in details.

City Project Manager of National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM), Shimon Phukan, while addressing the girls, said that loans for starting trade and manufacturing units were being provide by banks under schemes like Mudra Loan with subsidy and low rate of interest, and this opportunity should be availed. Dhubri District Brainware Coordinator, Monoj Chakraborty, entrepreneur G. Bhatti, trade motivator Bijoy Kumar Sharma, and SPOC of Brainware, Sanjay Sarkar, also spoke about various trades and manufacturing units.
