Jorabat Police Seize Truck Without Livestock Permit

DIMORIA, Aug 17: The Jorabat police seized a truck bearing registration no AS-01DC-1373 on Thursday night allegedly for carrying cattle without live stock permit. According to a police source, the Shillong bound truck had carried 18 cows from a cattle market located at 10 Mile area of Meghalaya. In the meantime, the Hindu Jagaran Manch (HJM) intercepted the truck at 9 Mile area and handed over to the Jorabat police. After examining the vouchers, Jorabat police released the cows later.
