Jorhat artisans prepare for Lakshmi Puja

JORHAT: Hectic preparation is on to celebrate Lakshmi Puja on Wednesday at almost all the Durga Puja venues except 5-6, said Gautam Hazara, the secretary of Jorhat Town Station Puja Committee on Monday. Altogether seven teams of artisans along with artisans from Cooch Behar, Kolkata and Maldah are giving finishing touches to idols of Goddess Lakshmi. Fruits and puja items are available aplenty in the markets, said Ajay Nandi, secretary of a puja organizing committee.
