Jorhat Engineering College to Host 2 day Global Conference

JORHAT: A two-day Global Conference on Infrastructure Development will be organized by the Department of Civil Engineering of Jorhat Engineering College (JEC) on December 21 and December 22 in the college campus where around 300 delegates from across the country and abroad will take part, said Dr. Rita Sharma, the Principal of JEC, on Tuesday.

The aim of holding such a conference of international standard is to provide a platform to present research outcome, discussion and updates in the field of engineering for further development of the society. The key note speakers to deliver lectures in the two-day conference include Prof. Taiichi Hayashi of Toyoko University, Prof Hemanta Kumar Hazarika of Kyushu University, Prof STG Raghukanth of IIT Madras, Dr. Hemanta Doloi of Melbourne University, and Prof Nayan Sharma, honorary professor of River Science of University of Nottingham and former professor of IIT Roorkee. Dr DN Burahgohain, retired director of IIT Guwahati is expected to grace the inaugural function as the chief guest.
