'Journalists should remain united, strive for a healthy society'- Ganesh Deka

TANGLA: "Press Clubs should not only be limited by the boundaries of production and dissemination of news, they can be intellectual workplace where one can hone one's interpersonal skills. In this rat-race competitive news world, we the journalists should remain united and strive for achieving a healthy society," said senior journalist of Udalguri and vice-president of BTC Journalist Union, Ganesh Deka at Nonai Forest Range Officer's Bungalow in Khalingduar Reserve Forest of Udalguri district recently.

Deka was the chief guest in the biennial conference of Tangla Press Club. The conference was also addressed by journalist Dipen Deka and Dipak Deka. A poem titled Kalam aru Sobdo was recited by budding poet Arup Boro. A new committee with Dipak Deka as president, Ujjal Kumar Das as vice-president and Diganta Kumar Sarma as general secretary was formed. Nonai Forest Range Ranger, Satya Boro was also felicitated with a phulam Bihuwan on the occasion.
