Donkamukam: “Development should go on fast-track from now in every nook and corner of Karbi Anglong and there will be no politics for two years from me,” said Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM Tuliram Ronghang at the free solar energy distribution programme at Inglong Kejoi under Hamren MAC Constituency West Karbi Anglong.

“Too much politics on every occasion is not good I think, let us work collectively for development,” he added. On progress of schemes undertaken so far, he said that he was personally monitoring the schemes provided or allotted to the contractors till now, and if he found any complaint or anomalies in those schemes, that contractor would be blacklisted.

“There are some villages here in our districts which are yet to get electrified till today and few villages in hilly places are so steep that connection is quite risky. So they will be provided solar lights at least,” he said. Later those villages too would be electrified, he added.

Earlier, CEM Tuliram Ronghang, in presence of his cabinet colleagues, laid a series of foundation stones for several projects. At the same time he inaugurated several completed schemes in West Karbi Anglong.

Ronghang also distributed agricultural tools, paddy seeds and betel nut nursery to beneficiaries at a function held at Taradubi.
