Kamrup (M) administration, police urge public to maintain peace

Guwahati, June 10: District Administration Kamrup Metro and the Commissioner of Police in a joint meeting at the Circuit House, Guwahati instructed all officers to ensure adequate sensitization of the public in general with reference to the appeal made to the people by Assam Chief Minister to maintain peace and not be misled, frightened or instigated by any kind of rumours. Commissioner of Police also instructed all his officers to remain alert and ensure that all possible steps are initiated to prevent any untoward incident in the district. The meeting was chaired Bijoya Choudhury, District Development Commissioner and in-charge Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) district. The meeting was attended by several top brass of the district civil and police administration. This has been stated in a government communiqué.
