Khonsa West Massacre: M'laya CM Conrad Sangma demands action against killing of sitting NPP MLA

Guwahati: Following the assassination of the sitting MLA for National People's Party (NPP) Tirong Aboh of Khonsa West along with 11 others on Tuesday, NPP Chief and Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma while condemning the brutal attack incident had urged upon the Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action against those responsible for such attack.

Conrad Sangma in his twitter wrote, "The NPP is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the death of its MLA Shri Tirong Aboh (Arunachal Pradesh) and his family."

It is to be noted that the incident was reported from Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning at around 11 am.

According to reports, suspected NSCN-IM (National Socialist Council of Nagaland) militants could be behind the attack, which took place at Bogapani village of Tirap district in Arunachal Pradesh.

Also, Deputy Commissioner of Khonsa West confirmed The Sentinel Digital that around 11 people were shot to death along with sitting MLA of NPP by suspected militants of NSCN-IM.
