Khumtai Constituency MLA Mrinal Saikia Extends Financial Help to Meritorious Girl in Golaghat, Assam

GOLAGHAT, Aug 1: Khumtai constituency MLA Mrinal Saikia has extended financial help to a meritorious girl of a poor family who successfully passed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) preliminary examination. On Wednesday, MLA Saikia visited the house of the girl, Debalakshmi Bora at Dhekial Adhalichuk and handed over a cheque of Rs 62,500. Saikia also assured that he would bear the cost of the girl’s preparation for the UPSC Mains examination in Delhi. He said that he would give 50 per cent of his salary to her.
