KSA demands improvement of infrastructure in villages

Donkamokam, Oct 29: The Karbi Students’ Union (KSA) Hamren Regiol Committee on Sunday submitted a memorandum to KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang at his residence demanding total improvement of the infrastructure of the villages of Block I and Block II areas, which according to them, were completely neglected since the formation of the council.

Other demands include immediate completion of NEC road from Boithalangso to Khanduli, ectment of new Land Act, 100 per cent job reservation to indigenous communities of Karbi Anglong, improving and enhancing the tourist places of West Karbi Anglong and building more science colleges and polytechnic institutes.

Tuliram Ronghang gave them a patient hearing and assured to look into the matter. The delegation was led by Probin Timung, president, and Babul Tokbi, general secretary of KSA Hamren Regiol Committee.
