Lakhimpur Health Department wins awards

LAKHIMPUR, March 25: Lakhimpur Health Department achieved another milestone by receiving three Kayakalp awards in the current year on the basis of hospital upkeep, sanitation and hygiene, hospital waste magement, infection control, support services, and hygiene promotion. These hospitals are rayanpur Model Hospital under Community Health Centre Category, Chauldhuwa Mini PHC  under Primary Health Centre Category and Chaporigaon Urban PHC under Urban Primary Health Centre Category. These awards carry cash prizes which will be given to the respective hospitals at a public function to be held soon.

The Kayakalp Award was launched by the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, J. P. dda on May 15, 2015 to encourage every public health facility in the country to work towards standards of excellence to help the facilities stay clean and hygienic.
