Lakhimpur players to take part in South Asian Taekwon-do Championship

LAKHIMPUR: A total of ten players from Lakhimpur will take part in the third South Asian Taekwon-do Championship (ITF) to be held in the Talkotra Indoor Stadium in New Delhi from May 30. They are Amit Sen, Suraj Basfor, Monigriv Gogoi, Harshita Das, Akankhya Bharadwaz, Rabi Kanta Musahari, Binideep Dutta, Dhrubajyoti Saikia, Shiva Dey and Rohinita Dutta. They had already set out to New Delhi, informed Lakhimpur District Taekwon-do (ITF) Association president Purnananda Borah and secretary Raju Singha. The chief coach of Lakhimpur, Rabijit Rajkumar will take part in the seminar of the championship. Former player Purnananda Pathak set the ten players ready for the tournament rendering coaching in the technical skills. It is noteworthy that a total of twenty three players from the State will participate in the championship.
