Lakhimpur win title at School Sports Cricket final

GUWAHATI: Lakhimpur won School Sports Cricket final title defeating Kamrup by 34 runs at Tezpur today. Elected to bat, Lakhimpur scored 171-7 in 30 overs. Sosankar Bonia (54) scored half century and Sourav Roy contributed 22 runs on the board. Arya Kashyap (3-17) came out with best bowling figure for Kamrup.

Later Kamrup bowled out 137 runs in 27.4 overs. Devajit Goswami and Arnav Bora scored 39 and 23 runs respectively while Rituraj Saikia (3-28) and Ankur Sharma (3-15) shared six wickets among them. Sosankar Bonia was later adjudged as the man of the final. On the other hand Sanjay Singh (Kamrup) collected the player of the tournament award.
