Landslide claims two lives in city

SHILLONG, Sept 23: In a tragic incident in the city two people lost their lives while a child was severely injured after a wall collapsed on their house at Lama Villa on Wednesday. The cause of the tragic incident was due to the incessant rains which triggered a landslide. The incident happened at around 1.15 PM, the deceased has been identified as Karu Thapa (24) and Minu Thapa (55) both from the same family, the child (5) who sustained server injuries was immediately to a city hospital.
