Leopard attacks villagers in Joysagar

Joysagar: As many as five villagers - Sukra Munda, Kanu Mandal, Anita Das, Lahoti Lama and Tulsi Devi - of North Sumdar village of Borhat under Sapekhati Police Station of Charaideo district were attacked by a full-grown leopard on Friday night.

The labourers were coming back home through the Abhaipur Reserve Forest of Sonari but suddenly they were attacked by the leopard. The injured labourers were quickly admitted in the Sonari Civil Hospital by some local people. The leopard could have come out from the reserve forest, said Sonari Forest Department sources.
