Literary body hosts conference on commulism

Goalpara, Jan 2: The Char-Chapori Sahitya Sabha (CCSS) on Saturday organized at the Agriculture Bhavan a one-day conference on the present socio-political scerio in the State, giving emphasis on practicing secularism.  Presided over by Dr Abul Hussain , the meeting thoroughly discussed the need of keeping the commul forces at bay to retain social harmony in the society.

Distinguished academician  Dr Abdul Mann ,  while attending the conference as the chief guest, focused on the present political scerio and specially upon the divided mentality in society after the advent of BJP-AIUDF in  prime position. “We will have to upheld the secular structure of our country for the greater interest of the society,” he said. Sofikul Ahmed gave the vote of thanks  and the purpose of the meeting was explained by Anower Hussain, secretary CCSS and welcome address was given by litterateur Keramat Ali Sheikh.
