Lok Sabha Election: Dry Days Declared In City

GUWAHATI: In connection with the second phase of the general election to the Lok Sabha, 2019, Dry Day is declared in Kamrup Metropolitan district from 5 pm on April 16 till 5 pm on April 18 as per the order of the Kamrup Metropolitan district Deputy Commissioner (DC). During this period, the possession, distribution and sale of liquor is completely prohibited. All the wholesale and bonded warehouse, IMFL retail ‘OFF’ and ‘ON’ shops including clubs, hotels and country spirit shops is directed to remain closed during this period. Any violation will attract penal action as per law.
