Lok Sabha Election Results: Political Parties Enthused Over Counting of Votes

GUWAHATI: Gearing up for the Lok Sabha election results on May 23, political parties are preparing for grand celebrations in party offices.

In the BJP headquarters Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, celebrations have picked up pace where party workers appeared enthused and confident of the massive victory right from the beginning of the polls. A temporary pandal is being implanted with a big screen LED TV. Party workers said that they do this during every elections right from 2014 Lok Sabha polls to 2018 Panchayat polls. “Band parties and sweets have already been arranged and after result declaration, if the outcome is in our favour, we will take out a procession”, said a party worker. They also informed that in 10 Lok Sabha Constituencies, 11 observers have been appointed, who will notify the party headquarters of every move in the counting centres.

Meanwhile APCC President Ripun Bora has directed the District Presidents to construct a temporary party office near the counting centres. The mandal, block, district and state level office bearers and party workers are ordered to set up tent in the temporary shacks till the counting concludes.
